Postnatal Progress Yoga

February 16th – March 22nd (6 weeks)

Postnatal Progress is a yoga class for mamas past their initial postpartum period (6 months+ to 4 years), who are looking to target key areas for strength building–lots of core work! pelvic floor! shoulders! back!–who feel ready to step back into a fluid and dynamic yoga practice, but are not quite ready to return to a vigorous or traditional yoga class.  This class is not suitable for those with prolapse or other significant injuries.

Postnatal Yoga

Tuesdays, 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, Circle Yoga, Chevy Chase, DC
January 14 – February 18th (6 weeks)
February 25 – March 31st (6 weeks) 

The Postnatal Yoga series offers a practice that helps mothers strengthen, stretch, relax, and find greater ease in their changing bodies. Mothers may bring their babies for an experience that incorporates relaxing and rejuvenating yoga for mama and some Itsy Bitsy yoga for baby to help with soothing and bonding. Postnatal Yoga is a wonderful way to connect with other mothers in an environment where no one worries about a fussy baby, where you can feed and diaper as needed, and where everyone can relate to what you are going through. This series is appropriate for women starting at about 6 weeks postpartum, and we welcome babies 6 weeks to almost crawling. Drop-ins are always welcome, and registrants can make up missed classes in any adult class on our regular schedule, space permitting.
