Baby & Me Yoga class centers your connection with baby and combines poses, songs and massage with yoga movement and breath-based relaxation. In this 45 minute class (with 15 minutes optional additional community time tacked on to the end),  you’ll get the chance to bond with your baby, move and stretch, and connect with fellow new parents. Mothers, fathers/partners and caregivers are all welcome. Classes are designed for babies 6 weeks to pre-crawling.

Postnatal Progress

Postnatal Progress is a yoga class for those past their initial postpartum period (6 months+ to 4 years). We combine breath, yoga poses, and functional strength work to slowly and safely progress movements so you can feel more grounded, stronger and more deeply connected to yourself. This class is best taken after Postnatal Foundations. Babies are welcome, but the focus of class is on the parent.

Postnatal Foundations Yoga is for the postpartum body 6 weeks to one year, as you are recovering and healing from childbirth.

This class is suitable for you if you are a beginner or if you want to rebuild your yoga practice in a safe way,  and will focus on poses that target all the new-parent tender spots–core, pelvic floor, shoulders and hips and offer relaxation and restoration. Babies are welcome in class, though the yoga practice focus will be on the parent. You are welcome to attend without babies as well.

Being with our kiddos non-stop is testing us all on so many levels–whether you have a baby, a toddler or a teen. I want to support as many mamas as I can, so I’m broadening the scope of this class and making it accessible to those past their initial postpartum period, so if you are a mom (or know a mom!) who is need of yoga, you are welcome to attend class! We focus on building core strength, increasing flexibility and range of motion, and using yogic practices to help us find presence and peace of mind to parent with a calm, centered heart.  Equivalent to a yoga 1/2 level with many variations offered throughout.  (not ideal for newly postpartum moms)

It is not easy to be pregnant and preparing for birth during this time of COVID-19.  Now, more than ever, the tools of yoga can give you a foundation to combat the anxiety and fear you may be experiencing in pregnancy, prepare your body to open for birth, help you foster awareness and intuition, practice conscious relaxation and embody the techniques you can use during your labor for comfort and coping.  This class will offer an all-trimester friendly yoga practice and an opportunity to build community.

One Sunday a month, we will invite partners into the last 30 minutes of class for hands-on labor support practice, and Q & A.
